Streamlined Sign-up Journey for ADHD Together

Introduction

ADHD Together, a service by Local Welcome charity, aimed to provide online peer-support sessions for people with ADHD.

As the UX designer for the project, my goal was to create a seamless sign-up journey for both members and leaders of ADHD Together. In this case study, I will discuss the design process, the challenges faced, and the solutions implemented to create an efficient sign-up experience for the users.

Design process

Desk research and persona development

Conducted in-depth desk research in collaboration with the operations lead, and developed comprehensive user personas to accurately define and understand potential users. This approach helped us to tailor solutions to address specific needs and preferences of our users.

Enhanced brand identity and online presence

Crafted a distinctive and straightforward brand image by creating a lettermark logo, utilizing a high-contrast color palette, and integrating a neural connection-inspired pattern.

Built a minimalistic Squarespace website that emphasizes the content while providing the flexibility to incorporate future enhancements based on user research.

Sign-up flow

Developed and executed Facebook ad campaigns targeting various user groups across three geolocations in London using AI optimization techniques.

Additionally, established Hubspot as our CRM, configured custom user properties, and created two sign-up forms for members and leaders.

Worked with the communications lead to design streamlined sign-up flows that integrated Facebook ads and Hubspot forms.

Result

Our first test session took place in November 2020, with all participants seamlessly signing up through the newly implemented sign-up journey. We received 350+ sign-ups within two months, providing a strong user base for further testing and development. This success demonstrated the value of designing a simple, functional solution first and then iterating on it to better fit users' needs.

Conclusion

The streamlined sign-up journey for ADHD Together allowed us to quickly test our hypotheses, gather user insights, and refine the design to cater to the users' needs. By combining and customizing SaaS products, we were able to launch the sign-up journey within a few weeks without a dedicated developer. Ultimately, this approach enabled us to focus on understanding our users better and improving their overall experience.
